Soma Terra and Cosmos. Source Audio Ventris. Minimalist Dark Ambient.

Probing the Terra for Darker moods. I do believe darkness is contained within this machine, I have just been so mesmerized by the beauty that is so readily available that I have yet to look. I'd say I definitely stumbled across some potentially dark patches, I just need to spend more time with them.

The initial patch in the video reminded me of an eerie forrest or alien soundscape. I used it as the ambient foundation. Of course, I had to let some light in to contrast with the dark, but I found this patch to be very useful. I saved it as a preset, so I am going to explore it more, especially the modifications.

The other thing I'd like to really work on from this session is dialing in the metallic singing bowls. I absolutely adore that sound, that vibe, and feel like Terra is more than capable of producing it. I touched on it for sure, but I think we can take it to the next level.

Ventris has endeared itself to me once again. I think for my next video, I am going to bring Lyra back into the fold and run through Ventris. I have ordered Erica Synths DarkVerb with the intention of having a dedicated reverb for each machine, but it is on backorder for now, so we will have to wait.

Slight EQ and gentle mastering were the only processing done in Logic.
