Faculty member Nicole Murtagh shows off the HVCC Nursing Department’s Albany Medical Center Nursing Simulation Lab, a state-of-the-art sim lab that provides simulation of real-world situations, as well as a mock operating room. Faculty members control high-tech mannequins from an adjacent room and can set up a variety of scenarios that students will encounter when they begin their careers as registered nurses. The sim lab helps them troubleshoot these scenarios in a controlled environment.
