Imagine you've got an i3-4150 with a dedicated GPU like this Zotac GTX1050Ti. But let's take away this 1050Ti. What have we got? An Intel Core i3 4150, Intel HD Graphics 4400, and 8GB of RAM in 21 games in the year 2022. Welcome to today's video.
You might think, "What's this video all about?" Why should anybody be using an Intel HD 4400 in 2022? Well, that's what I also thought. But a lot of people on this channel have shown that using the ancient integrated graphics of 2014 is still a thing.
Before watching this video, I strongly recommend having a look at the previous video I created of the i3-4150 and the Zotac GTX 1050Ti. It shows that the i3 is still an OK CPU for playing any esport titles. I'm going to link this video in the top right corner now, but also in the video description.
Let's come back to the i3-4150 and the HD4400. What is it good for in 2022? Well, it's good for some basic gaming. I mean, you can play the majority of today's esports titles with a passable experience. But of course, at low resolutions and low settings. Only pretty demanding games like Warzone, PUBG, Lost Ark, Witcher 3, but also F1 2021 have been unplayable or crashed due to insufficient direct x12 support of the HD 4400.
And that's an important note. Due to its age, not only performance-wise but also feature-level-wise, the HD 4400 is simply outdated. I mean, it's OK for a short time if, for example, your dedicated GPU is damaged and you need something to bridge the time until you're able to afford another dedicated GPU. But there's absolutely nothing for long-term use in 2022. The HD4400 has received no driver updates for nearly a year.
At this point, I've got to address some people directly who are using an Intel HD 4000, 4400, or 4600 on a daily basis in a desktop system. There's absolutely nothing that speaks against you adding a dedicated GPU to your system. Even the slowest direct x11 GPU would be way faster than any of these integrated graphics. I still recommend the R7 370 at around $100 if you're on a tight budget. I also made a video about this one. I'm going to link that one in the top right corner now.
So that's my opinion on using the HD 4400 in 2022. I hope you're going to like this video. If you do, feel free to leave a like and consider subscribing to this channel. I hopefully see you all in the next one. Stay safe and have a great day. Goodbye.
