Will you get a look at this unit trailing third! A KANSAS CITY SOUTHERN GREY GHOST UNIT trailing third out! This is my first time seeing one of these units and I thank NS for a colorful lash-up on this train. I like to see color with NS and not just heritage units or foreign power, but other kinds of surprises as well. Speaking of ghosts we are almost into the month of October and that's when ghosts, creepy crawlers, slimers, and other creepy things come out and also the legend of the Sleepy Hollow train experience at the Strasburg railroad! I did that last year and what I recommend is you wait to do the later train because the sun is setting when you board the train and when you get to Paradise, they stop the train and turn off the lights on the coaches to make it more spooky! I wish I could get a video of that, but my Samsung doesn't do well in the dark without the auto focus going nuts and sometimes switching to manual doesn't help. So, if you like Halloween and having a cool costume and love taking a spooky train ride, Strasburg is the place to do it! You either have the 89, 90, or 475 in charge of the train, but with 90 set to under it's mandatory 1472 day or 15 year rebuild/inspection, chances are you might have 89 or the 475. When I did the Sleepy Hollow train in Halloween 2022, N&W 475 had the honors of that train. If only they did that with the 611 when it was still there. Wouldn't that be spooky? N&W 611 in charge of the spooky sleepy hollow train? Maybe also put a spooky look to it and a spooky sounding whistle? Well, at least 89 or 475 might be okay for that, or 90 if they can get it rebuilt and passes it's inspection because 90 is a powerful engine just like the 475. 89 can do it too, but 89 hasn't have much power like the 90 and 475. Oh well. If I do the sleepy hollow train again this year, I'll settle for the 475 being in charge of the train again.
