Google has warned its Gmail and Google Cloud users about a dangerous hacker group targeting account holders after gaining access to a massive database.

According to international media reports, the cyberattacks began after a breach in Salesforce’s cloud platform, making Gmail and Google Cloud users an easy target for further intrusions.

With nearly 2.5 billion people using Gmail and Google Cloud services, Google has urged users to stay alert for any suspicious activity and take proper steps to enhance account security.

Google’s Threat Intelligence Group first warned about these attacks back in June, and by August, the company confirmed that multiple successful breaches had occurred due to leaked passwords.

Stay safe, enable two-factor authentication, and monitor your accounts regularly.
