A massive cyberattack by the notorious hacker group ShinyHunters has left billions of Gmail users exposed to one of the largest phishing and vishing campaigns in recent memory.

After tricking a Salesforce staff member into revealing login credentials, ShinyHunters—also known as UNC6040—gained access to sensitive business data. But the real threat began when they turned their focus to Gmail users, launching a wave of phishing emails, fake support calls, and text scams.
