After we took a 1 - 0 lead with a commanding win over the Dallas Mavericks, we return for game 2 and 3 for this double header of videos. Paul George has been a star in this league ever since his 2013 & 14 battle against the Big 3 Miami Heat featuring LeBron James, Chris Bosh, and Dwayne Wade. Unfortunately, when teetering on the line between all star and superstar, he would suffer one of the most gruesome injuries ever witnessed on a Team USA floor. However, Paul George would return to stardom after bringing the Pacers back to the playoffs after being one spot out of the playoffs in 2015 without Paul George himself. In 2016, George would drop 26 points on 18 shots in game 7 to fall to the Raptors. In 2017, George would be swept by LeBron James and as a result, be sent to Oklahoma City to team up with MVP Russell Westbrook in exchange for Victor Oladipo and Domantas Sabonis. However, after back to back first round exits, Paul George would be traded to the Clippers, who had just signed Kawhi Leonard and who were willing to give up rising star Shai Gilgeous Alexander and the rest of their future for a player that finished top 3 in MVP voting just a year before. After shoulder surgery which cut into the beginning of the NBA season, Paul George had a magnificent NBA season that was unfortunately cut short by the COVID-19. However, this break between the NBA Regular Season and the 2020 NBA Playoffs provided plenty of food for thought. Kobe Bryant, an NBA legend and mantra, had recently passed away. The Clippers had never made it to the NBA Finals, let alone conference finals throughout their entire time as a franchise. The Los Angeles Lakers had rival LeBron James and the best big man in the league in Anthony Davis, who would represent the Lakers in the battle of LA. For Paul George himself, there was something to prove. Winning this ring would win it for Kobe and the 9 victims of the disastrous helicopter crash. Winning this ring would prove the Clippers as a legitimate franchise, with their new era beginning with an NBA finals win over LeBron James. Winning this ring would win the Clippers the battle of LA, cementing the legacy of Kawhi Leonard and Paul George of the dynamic duo who saved this pathetic excuse for a big market basketball team. Winning this ring would prove Paul George. A man that by disappointing millions, could say that in the span of his career, he let down Indiana Pacers, Oklahoma City Thunder, and inevitably, the Los Angeles Clippers, but most importantly, himself.
