As a traveller staying at a two-star hotel in Chennai, I was expecting the usual array of local South Indian fare for my evening meals. However, to my pleasant surprise, I stumbled upon a hidden gem just a short walk away from my hotel - a Punjabi restaurant that offered a mouth-watering array of dishes.

I was initially hesitant to try out this unfamiliar cuisine so far from its roots, but the tantalizing smells and inviting atmosphere drew me in. From creamy butter chicken to spicy chole bhature, the menu was filled with tempting options that I couldn't resist.

As I took my first bite of the flavourful dishes, I was instantly transported to the bustling streets of Punjab. The rich Flavours' and spices were a delightful change from the usual fare I had been accustomed to during my stay in Chennai.

The friendly staff and cosy ambience only added to my overall dining experience, making me feel right at home despite being thousands of miles away. I couldn't help but wonder - why had I not ventured out to try this Punjabi treat sooner?
