Translates to “Invited to her wedding”
Laments the marriage of a girl he had grown up with. He appreciates being invited to her wedding but to him it represents the intersection of her happiness and his misery. That he could not steal her away, because his shoulders and thus his strength, is not enough. That the dance at the wedding will not flavor his palate and her impending marriage is a hard pill to swallow. Despite these feelings and the ordeal of inner turmoil caused by a love, which as evidence by her marriage, appears to be one-sided, he affirms that he will endure it for her sake. That life will go on and that this is a result of a life long-lived.
