O Museu Imperial é a mais visitada atração turística da Cidade Imperial. A instituição possui o principal acervo do Brasil sobre o período do Segundo Império brasileiro.
Os Jardins do Museu Imperial são resultado do projeto do botânico e paisagista francês Jean Baptiste Binot (também fundador do famoso orquidário com seu nome na Cidade Imperial). Porém, Binot seguiu as orientações dadas pelo próprio Imperador Dom Pedro II, que também foi um estudioso da botânica. Os jardins possuem uma grande diversidade de espécies de plantas que representam todos os os continentes.
A equipe da Televisual Filmes deu um passeio com suas câmeras pelos 43 mil metros quadrados dos Jardins do Museu Imperial, buscando reproduzir o olhar dos visitantes que se encantam com a beleza e a possibilidade de tomar contato com a pioneira visão de Dom Pedro II, materializada nos seus jardins, sobre a importância da preservação ambiental.

The Imperial Museum is the most visited tourist attraction in the Imperial City. The institution has the main collection of Brazil over the period of the Second Brazilian Empire.
The Gardens of the Imperial Museum are the result of the project of the French botanist and landscape architect Jean Baptiste Binot (also founder of the famous nursery with his name in the Imperial City).
