The Larson Electronics HAL-MB-185LED-CPR-100 hazardous location LED magnetic mount light provides operators with a powerful and energy efficient alternative to other hazardous area luminaries such as high pressure sodium (HPS), metal halide (MH), and halogen lights. LED technology and a sturdy design make this light perfect for a wide variety of illumination needs. The durable magnetic mount design can be adjusted for angle and provides a sturdy and rugged stand for portable illumination, temporary hazardous area lighting, and other hazardous location lighting needs.
LED Benefits: Unlike gas burning and arc type lamps that have glass bulbs, LEDs have no filaments or fragile housings to break during operation and/or transportation. Instead of heating a small filament or using a combination of gases to produce light, light emitting diodes (LEDs) use semi-conductive materials that illuminate when electric current is applied, providing instant illumination with no warm up or cool down time before re-striking. Because there is no warm up period, this light can be cycled on and off with no reduction in lamp life.
LED lights run at significantly cooler temperatures than traditional metal halide and high pressure sodium lights and contain no harmful gases, vapors, or mercury, making them both safer and more energy efficient. No extra energy is wasted in cooling enclosed work areas due to external heat emissions from bulb type lights, and the operator risks associated with traditional lighting methods, such as accidental burns and exposure to hazardous substances contained in the glass bulbs, are eliminated. In addition, LEDs are also safer for the environment as they are 100% recyclable, which eliminates the need for costly special disposal services required with traditional gas burning and arc type lamps.
Tower: This C1D2 LED light is mounted atop a legged base stand fabricated from non sparking aluminum, with a separate shelf type magnetic mounting bracket that allows mounting to ferrous metallic surfaces. The lamp can be easily adjusted up or down 90 degrees and locked into position by simply loosening the two T-handle adjustment screws located on either side of the light head and retightening them once the desired angle is found. The magnetic mounting bracket for this unit includes six 200 lbs. grip magnetic bases which provide a total of 1,200 lbs. of grip and allows operators to mount the unit to walls and flat metallic surfaces. Users simply attach the magnetic mounting bracket to the desired surface, then hang the lamp assembly from the bracket. This bracket is constructed of non-sparking aluminum for light weight and durability, and the simple hanging design allows operators to easily remove the lamp assembly to operate the unit as a pedestal lamp if desired. The 100 feet of 16/3 SOOW cable on the leaves plenty of room for easy movement around even large work areas.
Wiring & Plug: The is outfitted with 100` of 16/3 chemical and abrasion resistant SOOW cord that is fitted with an explosion proof cord cap for easy connection to explosion proof outlets. Plug options include a 5-15 15 amp straight blade plug for use with 120V explosion proof outlets, a 5-20 20 amp straight blade plug for use with 120V explosion proof outlets, or a 6-20 20 amp straight blade plug for use with 220-240V explosion proof outlets. *PLEASE NOTE* voltage ratings on plugs and outlets are MAXIMUM voltage. For low voltage applications, proper voltage must be applied to the outlet or damage to the light fixture will occur.
Applications:Refineries, Storage Facilities, Gas and Oil Facilities, Wastewater and Sewage Plants, Gas Stations, Farm Buildings, Aerospace, Military, Oil Rigs, and Frac Pads
