The basic requirements of Areca Palm are as follows.
1. The soil mix of Areca Palm must be well drain, soil should not hold water for long period of time.
2. The plant must be kept bright area where sunlight reaches indirectly.
3. The plant must be watered when the top 2-3 inches of soil is dry.
To make the well drain soil mix for Areca Palm mix these components.
1. 40% Garden Soil.
2. 40% River Sand.
3. 10% Compost.
4. 10% Coco peat.
5. 1 Hand full of Bone meal & Neem khali ( Neem cake)
Tips to get healthy Areca Palm.
1. Plant must contain 3-4 or more baby plants growth from sides.
2. Plant must have new growths like new leaves or branches.
3. The plant should not any kind of pest or any type of fungus problems.
Tips to re-pot Areca Palm.
1. Keep the plant in quarantine for 2-3 weeks, this will help the plant to come out from stress.
2. Keep the plant in a shady area after re-potting for 2-3 days.
3. Water the plant after re-potting.
