The Rimet Cup (pronounced: Reeh-maeh Cahp), also known as the Jules Rimet Cup, is a fantasy tournament, attributed to Jules Rimet (14 October 1873 – 16 October 1956), who was one of the co-founders of the FIFA World Cup. Jules Rimet was the 3rd President of FIFA, serving from 1921 to 1954; he also served as the president of the French Football Federation. The Rimet Cup is a virtual fantasy tournament for countries that have won the FIFA World Cup and runners-up who have never won the contest. Teams that can participate in this final are Brazil, Germany, Italy, France, Argentina, Spain, England, Sweden, Uruguay, Croatia, the Netherlands, Czechia, Hungary, and Slovakia. Any other national team cannot participate in this tournament until they make it to a World Cup Final.


Brazil, Germany, Italy, Uruguay, Argentina, France, Spain, and England have won the World Cup. The runners-up that have never won the World Cup are Czechoslovakia (now the Czech Republic and Slovakia), Hungary, the Netherlands, Croatia, and Sweden.

PS: Slovakia, like the Czech Republic, has the right to play in this virtual fantasy competition because they both competed in the World Cup final as a single country under Czechoslovakia.
