Size 4 16 inch circular needles
Size 4 double pointed needles

JoAnn’s yarn
Big Twist Super Nova
80% acrylic/ 20% wool
475 yards / 435 meters
5.3 ounces / 150 grams

If you prefer worsted weight yarn. I used JoAnn Big Twist Value yarn in “spooky time” color

Size 7, 16 inch circular needles
Size 7 double pointed needles

Basic pattern in tutorial

Cast on 96 stitches using size 4 needles

Ribbing:
Round 1-10: (knit 1, purl 1) around

Body:
Round 1: knit
Round 2: (knit 1, purl 1)
Round 3: knit
Round 4: (purl 1, knit 1)

Repeat body rounds 1-4 until hat is approximately 2 inches from desired length

Crown:
On a knit round place markers every 12 stitch’s (8 total markets)

Round 1: (work in pattern until 2 stitches before market, knit 2 together, slip marker) repeat around
Round 2: knit

Repeat round 1-2 until 8 stitches remain. Break yarn, weave through the 8 stitches, pull tight. Weave in all ends and enjoy your hat.
