"I felt that the government and TEPCO were not being honest in their measurements," says Mr Nakamura of his motivation for monitoring the radiation in Fukushima.

Mr Nakamura, who has been taking measurements for more than seven years, said, "it doesn't seem that the soil levels have gone down."
