Opportunities as rare as this one are few and far between! Ricky was very fortunate to be offered the chance to select from a completely ungraded pond along with Fujio Oomo. It wasn't as straight forward as you can imagine as nothing is ever straight forward with Japanese koi breeders.

The D.K. line of Shiro Utsuri bred by Nishikigoi Niigata Direct are bred from a 95cm female Shiro Utsuri which originated from Omosako Koi Farm. The tosai this year are in short supply and rarely sold by the farm. The opportunity to secure some, never mind the best tategoi is a dream come true.
