"Where are you looking during a match?" An overlooked aspect of improvement.

Something a little different today. I want to ask you a simple question that you probably don't actively think about much, if ever: What are you looking at when you play a match?

It's very easy to find your visual focus be mostly on your own character, and while that's perfectly natural to do when first learning a character. That said, I want to focus on a long term goal that's easy to overlook: Getting familiar enough with your character that you can use your visual focus to take in all the important information on the screen that isn't you and your character.

This is something I think about a lot when I'm struggling, so I'm curious to see if this 30 minutes of talking about your visual focus is something you've ever thought about, or if you think it's even worth considering!
