Join us on the final leg of our Shanghai adventure as we journey home to Singapore! While we absolutely loved exploring the vibrant streets and culture of Shanghai (check out our previous vlogs!), it was time to head back. This video captures our entire travel experience, from navigating Shanghai's transport systems to relaxing on our Singapore Airlines flight.

Our trip back started with a taxi ride through Shanghai to the Longyang Road station, ready to catch the famous Shanghai Maglev train! It's known as the world's first commercial maglev line and offers a super-fast connection to Pudong International Airport (PVG). Although it can reach speeds over 400 km/h, it cruised at a smooth 300 km/h during our ride – still incredibly quick! The whole journey took less than 15 minutes, making it the fastest and most cost-effective way to the airport. You can see the train is about 22 years old, but it remains impressively efficient.

Once at Pudong Airport, checking in for our Singapore Airlines flight (SQ flight on the Boeing 777-300ER) was seamless and quick. With time to spare, we headed to the China Eastern Lounge – chosen because it's one of the largest lounges in PVG. We were impressed by the sheer amount of space and the fantastic amenities, including a live cooking station where a chef prepared delicious, freshly made noodles! They also had a decent selection of drinks available.

Before boarding, we caught a truly unique sight right from the terminal window – a massive supertanker ship sailing incredibly close by! Shanghai's proximity to the ocean offers some surprising views.

Soon, it was time to board our Singapore Airlines flight. As always, the service onboard SQ was excellent – attentive and welcoming. For our meal, we enjoyed a delicious chicken pasta paired with white wine. Thankfully, the entire flight back to Singapore was wonderfully smooth and uneventful, allowing us to relax and reflect on our amazing trip.

Finally, back home in Singapore! The best part? Being reunited with our beloved dog who was absolutely overjoyed to see us! We also picked up our other little puppy from the pet boarding house the next day, making our family complete again. There's nothing quite like coming home, especially to excited furry friends!
