ASICS Magic Speed 4

First run in the Magic Speed 4 was supposed to be an easy run with some strides, but I was having fun so a did a couple extra strides and a few bursts at marathon to tempo paces. The combo FF Blast + and FF Turbo foams are a bit stiff at warm up paces (or land midfoot to heel strike), but the foams work together really nicely once you pick up the pace and get more towards the toes. It’s a bit on the mushy side for very fast running like mile pace on the strides, but it seems to excel at around marathon to half marathon effort. I have a threshold workout tomorrow which will be a more rigorous test.

The last two Magic Speeds seemed to be a training companion for Metaspeed Edge runners. I think this one might be the training companion for Metaspeed Sky runners.
