Felixstowe offers a quintessential British seaside holiday experience, perfect for a day trip or a longer holiday. The heart of Felixstowe's appeal is its four miles of sand and shingle beach, which has been recognized with the prestigious Blue Flag and Seaside Awards. A walk along the seafront and promenade, known as Beach Road, reveals a vibrant scene with colourful beach huts, some of which are available for hire, and the beautifully restored seafront gardens.

No trip to Felixstowe is complete without a visit to the pier, which, following a multi-million-pound redevelopment, is now one of the newest in Great Britain. The pier is a hub of activity, featuring a family entertainment centre with classic arcade games, mini ten-pin bowling, and a casino area. For a taste of traditional seaside fare, you can find a number of fish and chip shops both on the pier and along the seafront. Many of these offer both takeaway and sit-down dining options, allowing you to enjoy your meal with a view of the sea.

Beyond the main beach and pier, Felixstowe's seafront offers a range of other attractions. You'll find plenty of amusements and funfairs, such as Manning's Amusement Park, with children's rides and games. For those looking for something different, Martello Park, set around a historic Martello Tower, provides a great space for picnics and has a children's play area. A unique addition to the seafront is Beach Street, a creative complex of upcycled shipping containers housing independent boutiques, street food eateries, and cafes, offering a modern twist on the classic seaside town experience.
