On supermarket fish.

😅🤷I can’t tell you how frustrating it is, it would take all day. However, here’s 3 main reasons, which I'll call the 3 B’s which cover quite a lot of it. I’d also like to challenge those who haven’t already, to give us a try, unlike the supermarkets we won’t leave the taste of disappointment in your palate and less money in your wallet.😡

1. Better Value, everything we have in the tray in the video and a whole lot more, are BETTER value to buy from us than the supermarkets nearest equivalent (if they even have anything similar, often they don’t). Yes, multi-billion-pound businesses charging more than a small, local independent fishmongers… and sometimes by 20-30%+.🤯

2. Better quality, you may inadvertently be eating last years fish as well as last weeks fish without knowing, due to the length pf the supply chain the average age of supermarket “fresh fish” can be 2-3weeks old…. Then they also sell products called refresh, which is a frozen fish that’s defrosted and sold in the fresh aisle…
We buy fresh fish from local boats & markets EVERY SINGLE DAY of trading, so what’s at market that morning arrives by wagon into Carlisle the same evening and the local fish can be on the counter in under an hour.🤯

3. British, we buy as much local & British produce as possible, except where there is no option too, whereas the supermarkets will buy from the cheapest option, choosing imported fish from Scandinavian countries and even shock horror China… yes imported frozen fish from China. All this does is undercut the British fishing industry, in favour of profits. Taking potentially billions out of the UK economy to line the pockets of a few…🤯🤷

So, tell me again why your buying supermarket fish, I don’t know, do you???🤔
