His fascination with cemeteries, death, and the occult was complemented by an extensive personal library and a collection of dolls that would play a crucial role in his disturbing endeavors.

Moskvin's disturbing activities took a sinister turn when he began exhuming bodies and attempting to preserve them through mummification. His intent was to create functional "dolls" out of the desiccated remains, driven by a belief that the deceased children were somehow calling out to him for salvation.
