The Indonesian Navy has gotten an offer from Golcük Shipyard to supply a variation of the Reis (Type 214)- class diesel-electric submarine (SSK).

Different TNI-AL sources have affirmed with Jane's that gatherings and introductions on the Type 214 class were directed from mid 2017 by a group of Golcük Shipyard and TKMS authorities at the TNI-AL central station in Cilangkap close Jakarta.

The gatherings will be trailed by a visit of TNI-AL authorities to Golcük Shipyard's offices close Istanbul, where they will watch development take a shot at the Turkish Navy's first Type 214 watercraft, Pirireis (S 330). This visit is at present planned to occur from 7 to 12 May 2017, in parallel to the IDEF 2017 show.

The Turkish Navy is suspecting the conveyance of six Type 214 submarines from Golcük Shipyard. The first of-class is slated for dispatch in 2019, and every one of the six vessels are relied upon to be charged by 2025.
