The University of St. Thomas Journal of Law and Public Policy hosted its fall 2020 symposium on the cutting-edge topic of Neuroscience and the Law. The keynote speaker was Professor Robert Sapolsky, a professor at Stanford University and a prominent neuroendocrinologist.

In addition to remarks from Professor Sapolsky, there were three panels discussing topics of free will, criminal law and neuroscience, addictive behavior and the law, mental illness under international human rights law, and more. The presenters include academics from Israel, France, the United Kingdom and the United States.
