How to connect Level_5 (VPN + TOR + AnonymousRD) to Whonix Workstation 16

!!! IMPORTANT: Level_5 implies a hidden connection to a remote desktop through the .ONION domain, such a connection works only when connected to a VPN + TOR network

Using Remmina and OpenVPN special script whonix_vpn.sh

Steps:
1. Launch Whonix Workstation, go to the vpn.sn page and download the archive with VPN keys
2. Extract all files from the archive and copy to the vpn folder on the desktop
3. Download the special whonix_vpn.sh script and copy it to the vpn folder on your desktop
4. Rename the DedicatedVPN ** _ TCP_443.ovpn file to vpn.ovpn
5. Create the auth.txt file and enter your email in the first line, your password in the second and save the file
6. Open a new Terminal window and enter the commands
sudo su
cd Desktop
cd vpn
chmod + x whonix_vpn.sh
./whonix_vpn.sh start
7. Wait for the message about successful VPN connection
8. To test the connection - open a new Terminal window and enter the commands
ip route
9. If you see the first line of text similar to
0.0.0.0/1 via 10.8. **. ** dev tun0
So the VPN is connected and working
10. Test VPN via Firefox ESR

11. Download the AnonymousRD key archive
12. Unpack all keys to any folder (eg Desktop)
13. To install Remmina - open a New Terminal window and enter the commands:
sudo su
apt update
apt install remmina remmina-plugin-rdp
14. Import the AnonymousRD ***. Rdp file into the Remmina application.
15. Connect RDP by double clicking the AnonymousRD ***. Rdp file in Remmina.
16. Use the password from the pass.txt file.


Add a shared drive or folder so the RDP server can access files on your PC.

After restarting, the VPN will be connected automatically

To disable VPN use the commands:
sudo su
cd Desktop
cd vpn
chmod + x whonix_vpn.sh
./whonix_vpn.sh stop
