Join Throdle’s host, Chris as he gets up close with his friend Roy’s @royshakoska (IG) 1972 Hakosuka classic Nissan Skyline. This rare car was a JDM legend originally intended for the luxury market and debuted under the Prince motor company brand in Japan in 1969. Quickly becoming its flagship car, Prince was purchased by Nissan, which began the development of the new Skyline.

The car was originally created with 4 doors, eventually transforming to a limited production run 2 door GT-R nicknamed “Hakosuka” or “Boxy Skyline”. It won numerous awards in the Japanese Grand Prix series and can fetch anywhere from $60-400k depending on the condition due to its high-revving inline six engine, and amazing racing feel.

Roy’s skyline has been featured in SEMA and won 1st place as best Skyline, and he takes through the modifications he’s added – even showing us the 2.8L 280ZX engine swap he has which gets him to 200 horsepower.
