Model Alex Consani, who’s walked for Chanel, Tom Ford, and Victoria’s Secret, won Model of the Year at the 2024 Fashion Awards in London. Responding to the applause at the Royal Albert Hall, she said,

“I’m the first trans woman to win this award. But I can’t accept this award without thanking all those that came before me and specifically the Black trans women who really fought for the space.”

She also thanked her parents, urging others to support trans kids. Consani has nearly four million TikTok followers, and she was also the first trans woman to model for Victoria’s Secret.
