Biggest Cobia caught on kayak | Best setup for big fish on kayak | Record breaking catch in Dubai

It's not a favorable day to fish. It was on Wednesday early morning, May 3, 2023 on our favorite #fishingspot in #jumeirahbeach. The moment we went to the open water with my mate, Noel (we are the only one fishing that day), I had hesitation to push coz that day the forecast was 22kph wind, and it looked like it was with higher swell splashing on different directions.

As I went on, I caught 1 regular size orange spotted trevally (#livebait), and when I went, another 100 meters splashing was gone, so I decided to go on as per my regular fishing routine.

As soon as I caught 4 livebait, at 7am, I started setting up my trolling set immediately since forecast at 11am will get worst. I went all the way to 13 meters deep in the open water.

I saw lots of activities down and above the surface but no hits until past 8.15am.

Since 8.15 in the morning until 11am, I was dragging the #Cobia against the current and not so pleasant wave.

As I get close to the shore, I felt relieved especially 2 of my mates help me a lot in carrying the Cobia.
