She’s upper middle class, he was upper lower class, they banged, she got pregnant, they Didn’t get married, Vincent went to war, he made a friend, he told the friend he left an unborn baby behind, she gave birth, immediately gave William to an orphanage, and then wrote Vincent a letter saying “I regret to inform that although I successfully gave birth, the baby was dead.”, Vincent was devastated and climbed over a rail on the ship, Robert said “I love you don’t do that”, he climbed back onto the ship, a few years later he got another letter saying “your home town was completely destroyed by German bombs a few days ago” dated an entire month earlier, he said fuck it there’s nothing left for me in England, and moved to Australia with his boyfriend.
