Henson Shaving Mild Aluminum Safety Razor | The Daily Shave

Welcome back to the Daily Shave! Today is all about the Henson Razor - the newest hardware out of Canada! It's all aluminum, great value and a wonderful shaver.

This razor is available in mild and medium variants and in several different colors. These colors are not painted on, but rather anodized so you don't have to worry about them peeling off. The machining on it is very good, especially considering the price. The packaging is modest but it works. It's a fairly straightforward folded cardboard affair with a pack of Astra SP blades hiding in the bottom.

On to the shave! The angle is very natural. The blade feel is quite mild, even on the medium razor. I found it shaves very well for me, despite how mild it is. It really strikes me as the perfect razor for someone starting out or for someone looking for an everyday razor. It is incredibly smooth and comfortable in either variety. I find the the medium to be just slightly more aggressive than the mild but the difference isn't as big as one might think.

I was really pleased with this razor. It might not be a good fit if you like heavy or aggressive razors, but I think there are a lot of folks this razor would be great for. If you are thinking about dipping your toes into DE Shaving, I would definitely recommend Henson!
