1950s Samoan Islands (Vintage Samoa Footage)

Описание к видео 1950s Samoan Islands (Vintage Samoa Footage)

Rare scenes of life on different parts of the Samoan archipelago or Navigator Islands, filmed and captured by George Milner during the 1950s. Villages portrayed in this film include Safune in Savaii, Lalomanu in Upolu as well as Fitiuta in Manua, with the exceptional singing of the Gataula of Asau of Savaii (check out the Gataula singing these same songs in 2008 here:    • Song & Dance from the Gataula in Asau...   ).

This is a good video for those who want to see a snippet of what Samoa life used to look like in the mid 20th century. You can see how they cooked, made siapo, built homes, had village council meetings, mixed ava... Etc. One of the things that fascinated me in the video was the ie sae 😍👌 #Beautiful.

A great video that should be shared with loved ones.
