Does The Shearwater Peregrine Measure Up? 4 Dive Computers Under $500. Which should you choose?

Yesterday, Shearwater Research announced their entry into the recreational dive computer market with the Shearwater Peregrine. I watched the live stream release and I was... whelmed. Meh. So I thought I'd find three other dive computers for under $500 and compare features... the Suunto D4i Novo, the Aqualung i470TC and the ScubaPro Aladdin A1.

We're looking at cost; color display; nitrox capabilities; watch factor; air integration; Bluetooth; Power Supply and Algorithm. I'll tell you what I like in each category and which of these dive computers measure up.

At the end, I reveal my pick for a recreational dive computer under $500.
