G-Class Sets the Standard in the Off-Road Segment

This off-road icon is based on a proven body-on-frame construction concept and features three mechanical differential locks, a LOW RANGE transfer case for off-roading, a rigid rear axle, and independent front suspension. High ground clearance and long suspension travel form the foundation of the new G-Class’s off-road characteristics. The numbers speak for themselves:

Up to 100% gradient climb on suitable surfaces
Ground clearance between the axles of at least 241 mm
Maximum wading depth of 70 cm through water and mud
Stable driving on lateral inclines of up to 35°
Approach and departure angles of 31° at the front and 30° at the rear (without a tow hitch)

Off the beaten path, the new OFFROAD COCKPIT provides a clear overview of key off-road driving data on both the driver display and infotainment screen, along with supportive off-road driving functions.
