Lance may only be 14 years old, but his passion for climate action, conservation and the planet we live on is truly inspiring!

Lance was kind enough to take some time out of his activism work to be one of the first featured in our new ‘Guardian Spotlight’ series. This will be a series that is exclusive for Guardians, but for one time only, we are sharing this episode with everyone!

Lance was inspired after seeing a speech by Greta Thunberg when he was only 10 years old, and kicked off his activism work with 'Fridays for Future Hong Kong’ in 2019 and then ‘Fridays for Future Brighton’ in 2021, after moving to the UK. He has been striking from school every single Friday for over 180 consecutive weeks, and captured the hearts and minds of many of his peers in the process.

In addition to his striking efforts, he also tirelessly organizes educational workshops and delivers talks to students, young people and banking staff and companies. His aim is to encourage discussions and foster environmentally conscious actions at all levels of society.

He is truly wise beyond his years, and we are so happy that he has signed up to become a Guardian!
