We are turning the Spotlight on Folk / Ambient /Jazz-Rock duo from Mumbai : Namit Das + Anurag Shanker. Helmed by composer/vocalist Namit Das and producer/guitarist Anurag Shanker, they describe their sound as “traversing between the sonic planes of ambient jazz/rock, folk and contemporary alternative arrangements that lift up the core literary content presented in a light classical form.” As part of this Spotlight series their setlist features unplugged renditions Kabir’s 'Ud jayega Hans Akela' and 'Dhoop Kinarey' by Faiz.

At their show at HIVE at The Great Eastern, Mumbai; Riwayat will revive and revisit the unsung glory of classic writing and light classical music from the subcontinent and is their latest and most up to date lineup consisting of creations by Faiz, Munir Niyazi, Khusrow, Shiv Kumar Batalvi and more.

Riwayat is being presented to you by the Hive in association with The Great Eastern Homes, Nine Fish Art Gallery & Dot Line Space.
