Shimmer is one of the most popular effects to add to guitars and synthesizers. It can turn a pedestrian pad or string sound into an amazing atmospheric journey. For most synths, you're forced to rely on outboard effects units to add shimmer (I have several outboard effects for other synths) - but with the Deepmind, and its highly capable and advanced effects system, you can easily design shimmer effects right in the synth patches, and you get an amazing amount of control over the effect. In this video I go through the shimmer effect topology, and details on setting up shimmer effects and fine tuning them to your liking.
