But the crow violently flaps its wings, splattering mud all over her face. To her horror, the mud sticks and spreads until her facial features vanish completely. She stumbles, losing herself in the sludge, and from the thick muck a terrifying mud creature rises. This monster absorbs Sasha into its form, twisting the innocent rescue into tragedy. Moments later, the creature reshapes itself into a sinister gingerbread man, a grotesque mockery of childhood sweetness, before leaping back into the depths of the well.
