When Bob Hall proposed his idea of a lightweight roadster in 1976, few knew it would even happen, never mind take thirteen years to reach production. Following the styling themes of the Lotus Elan and the engineering principles of dozens of classic British sports cars, the MX-5 has become an icon in its own right.
