Many of us find ourselves in a similar situation as the prodigal son - we can relate. We leave the love and care He has for us and decide take our life into our own hands... and it never ends well. It's so important that we know how much our Heavenly Father loves us so that we don't keep our distance because of fear, guilt, shame, or condemnation. We don't deserve the forgiveness He gives... but He loves us so much that even while we were in the thick of our sin He went to the cross and paid the price for us to be forgiven and welcomed back into right relationship with Him! If you find yourself distanced from God and far off, struggling because you've tried doing things on your own for so long... I want to encourage you and remind you that GOD LOVES YOU! He is watching and waiting for you to come to your senses... to repent and turn to Him... and when you do, He will meet you right where you are! (but He loves you too much to leave you there!)
