Principles of Beautiful Figures for Research Papers

Creating high-quality figures for research papers is a difficult and time-consuming task. It usually requires extensive testing of various techniques to present the results of a study in the best possible way. However, many universities overlook this topic, leaving students and young researchers to learn graphic design for scientific publications by trial and error.

For the last few years, I’ve had the idea of making tutorials for students and researchers explaining how to create beautiful figures. Now I am finally making it. This video is the first part of the tutorials, where we will talk about the principles of beautiful figures for research papers. Then, in the next videos, I will show you the process of developing such figures, we will learn how to create complex figures using both programming languages and vector graphics software.
