Don’t use too much menthol crystals
Going over by a few mg is fine but going over by 20mg (0.020 grams) will probably be noticeable.
That’s why I recommend starting at a low concentration like (correction: 0.25%, This should say 0.25%, But it did say 0.025%, however the masses were correct) also I am used to it, so I might have a higher tolerance to the burning, I don’t know, but it’s something to consider and you might want to try a lower % of menthol.

You will probably want a scale that has precision down to 0.001 g which only cost about $20, and a tiny little glass mortar and pestle or possibly ceramic but my metal one turned my white powder into a gray powder so I don’t like that, it seems like there was a little bit of metal getting into it. If you don’t have the money for mortar and pesto you might be able to grind the crystals between two spoons that fit together really flush, of course you might run into it turning the white powder into a gray powder which you wouldn’t want but if your spoons are old enough then there shouldn’t be any more stuff rubbing off of them.
I would just see if it turns your white powder into a gray powder and if it does I wouldn’t use it and I would get the glass mortar and pestle which I think are pretty cheap if I remember right it was about $14.
