Trying NYC's CHEAPEST Pastrami! S&P Lunch's $16 Pastrami Review

Описание к видео Trying NYC's CHEAPEST Pastrami! S&P Lunch's $16 Pastrami Review

S&P Lunch, formerly known as Eisenberg's before the restaurant closed and was bought and renamed, is one of NYC's classic old-fashioned Jewish Delis. Being around since 1929, the deli is just steps away from the famous Flatiron building and is packed at most hours of the day, mostly with locals. S&P, formerly Eisenberg's, is not well known, but many consider it one of the best Jewish delis in New York City due to its history and the affordability of its food. Most notably, it serves a pastrami on rye sandwich for just $16! This is in stark contrast to the Katz's Deli pastrami that is going for around $28 right now. Even famous Jewish delis outside of New York, such as Harold's Deli in Edison, NJ, is selling their pastrami on rye sandwich for about $25.

When all of the famous Jewish delis, like Pastrami Queen and 2nd Ave Deli, are all following suit with their $25 and up pastrami sandwiches, it really is a breath of fresh air to see S&P selling one at an affordable price. But is S&P really worth the hype? Some critics regard it as not just the cheapest pastrami around, but one of the best pastrami sandwiches in NYC. Is their famous pastrami on rye sandwich really worth the hype or is it just cheap? We'll find out together! We will also try their potato latkes, egg creams, and their matzo ball soup.
