Manoj was added to a group and given small, simple tasks (like posting positive reviews) that paid quickly, building his trust. Encouraged, he invested increasing amounts—eventually ₹3 lakh—into what appeared to be a legitimate trading platform with a professional dashboard.

When he tried to withdraw, the fraudsters blocked him, demanding more money to “recover” his investment. These demands, paired with fake group success stories, exploited his hope and the sunk cost fallacy. Communication became manipulative and evasive.

Manoj hesitated to tell his family out of fear and stigma but later reached out to Lokesh Tiwari, who advised him to file an FIR and move on.
