Life after domestic violence

Описание к видео Life after domestic violence

By Will Kendrew

Sometimes her babies were threatened at knife point.

She could prepare herself for her own death, and often had, but the notion of her baby being murdered was too much.

And then child protection services came and took her children away.

The Australian Institute of Criminology reports that 34% of Australian women who have had an intimate partner have experienced violence from a partner or ex-partner.

In this brutally honest story one victim shares her story of escape from a life of domestic violence and how she created a better life for her and her children.

She is a quiet inspiration to other women caught in similar situations.
