In order to design the firefighting system, the following steps are very important:-
1. Selecting the correct Occupancy hazards for the building
2. Selecting the hydraulic area in the building using density-area curves
3. Hydraulic calculations, etc.

In this video series, I have given lots of practical design issues which I faced during my journey as a Design Engineer. Along with that lots of Firefighting articles, handbook references added which is useful for you to understand why NFPA 13 code book says this number/Value/rules.

For example, as per NFPA 13, For hydraulic area L= 1.2 times square root of sprinkler operation area. How this 1.2 comes from?. Like this, plenty of information has been added along with the calculation.
