In July 2022, as first time travellers to Benidorm, we decided to stay closer to the old town rather than the new town. We booked through #jet2holidays for a 4 night stay at the #princeparkhotel in #benidorm.

The hotel was about 15 minute walk to the old town and beaches. The hotel is on top of a pretty steep incline, so after a long hot day, walking up it was a killer but it was ok.

The hotel is not huge, nice staff, the room is small and perfectly adequate for us as a base. It does come with a free to use fridge which is a massive bonus. Breakfast is pretty limited, but again fine. This isnt a massive hotel and is catered more for the spanish tourists, which is what we expected.

I personally loved the old town, the culture, shops, bars and restaurants were really nice, a little more expensive and most menu's are only in spanish. We were here during the spanish holidays so it was really busy with spanish families.

Sarah loved the new town and the madness that is the Benidorm we see on TV. Some great bars. Beware of drink scams, drink prices vary from bar to bar and the slim spirit glasses with ice that fits perfect means you are always short measured. My tip is ask for NO ICE! That way you get what you're paying for.

Would we return? 100% we would! Again I think we would stay in the old town, just its a nice relaxing part of Benidorm.

Sunbeds and Brolly on the beach are expensive 6euros each! So that's 18euros for two people. Don't buy the cocktails from the guys walking aorund the beach as you have no idea whats in them!! Try tapas alley, most amazing food and choice.
