Intervention is not a bad word!

If you have questions about why something is being recommended during labor and delivery, ASK why and what this benefits/risks are and expect an ANSWER! You have the right to know EXACTLY what is happening with your labor and have a say it how it is managed!

There is room for discussion, education and compromise.

I fully agree that informed decision making and consent are a must. However, accounts telling or advising people on how to decline interventions without explaining the potential consequences are dangerous. Lastly, obstetrical care providers must acknowledge that our relationship with patients and the trust are both deteriorating. WE MUST FIX THIS!
