爸爸希望慧慧唸到高中畢業就好，但慧慧的導師和熱心的何金燕老師（丁寧 飾）覺得可惜，當她們知道慧慧家中狀況，決定說服爸爸。最後爸爸同意慧慧繼續升學，於是何老師寫信給慈濟尋求支援，慧慧得以順利進入慈濟技術學院就讀。
不料，醫生診斷爸爸得了失智症，讓原本捉襟見肘的生活，雪上加霜……

Papa Don hopes HH shall study and end at high school but HH’s tutor Chao Rong and enthusiastic teacher Ho all feel it’s really a pity thing. They tempt to persuade Papa Don but finally decide to support HH when they realize the difficult situation of her family. Finally Papa Don agrees to let HH stay at Hua Lien for studying. Teacher Ho also writes letters to Tzu Chi for seeking supports. And HH has entered the Tzu Chi Technical Colleague. In the meantime Doctor judges Papa Don has got dementia, the situation of family finance is becoming worse.
