▪️Surprised
I rarely get surprised during travelling, because most of the time i’m well prepared. But while visiting Strasbourg, I was surprised. I came for the Christmas markets, and didn’t really look into the city itself that much. That’s why when I saw the Strasbourg cathedral, my jaw dropped.

▪️Stunning cathedral
Cathédrale Notre-Dame de Strasbourg, as it’s called in French, was very impressive. In the past i’ve seen the likes of Duomo di Milano and the Basilica di San Pietro, but for me the Strasbourg cathedral is right up there. I saw the Notre-Dame in Paris while I was young, but don’t remember much of it and when I visited Paris in 2022/2023, it was still being rebuild. There’s no way this 142 meters tall (it’s the 6th tallest church building in the world) cathedral will not blow your mind.

▪️Strasbourg
There’s more to Strasbourg though. As I mentioned I came for the Christmas markets and Christmas definitely is a good time to visit this city, but you can also go here during the rest of the year and won’t be disappointed. There are multiple sights worth visiting and the Le Petite France area also is great.
