Unboxing 2017 Nissan Frontier - An Old School Truck

Описание к видео Unboxing 2017 Nissan Frontier - An Old School Truck

For today's unboxing review we bring you the 2017 Nissan Frontier PRO-4X Crew Cab, an old school mid-size pickup truck that we admittedly didn't pay enough attention to previously. How come? Well, it hit the market way back in 2004 and hasn't changed all that much ever since. GM has replaced its Chevrolet Colorado and GMC Canyon and the Toyota Tacoma has also seen a significant update. Why not the Frontier? Good question, but we know Nissan is planning a major redesign in the near future. Perhaps that's not for the best because the Frontier we sampled reminds us why we love small-ish pickup trucks.

Power comes from an honest 4.0-liter V6 with 261 hp and 281 lb-ft of torque, with power going to all four wheels (4WD is optional) through a 5-speed automatic. Yes, a 5-speed slushbox, but that's optional and we suggest going for the less expensive and more handy (get it?) six-speed manual. With a maximum towing capacity of 6,290 pounds and a max payload of 1,030 pounds, the Frontier does everything it's supposed to and does it well. It's by no means the fanciest or most luxurious of its class, nor is it intended to be. If you're looking for an new, yet old school mid-size pickup truck for a decent base price ($18,390 in this case), then the Frontier is worth a look. Our tester, nearly fully equipped, came to a grand total of $36,525, which is right in line with its competitors. And yes, the Frontier, specifically in the PRO-4X configuration, is mighty capable off-road. Enjoy the review!
